Padraig Durnin is a historian of global anti-apartheid, international solidarity activism, and Irish radicalism. He completed his doctoral thesis, a comparative study of anti-apartheid and Latin America solidarity activism in Ireland, at Queen’s University Belfast in 2023. He has published on anti-apartheid activism in Ireland and beyond, is a contributor to an upcoming radio documentary on the Dunnes Stores Strike, and is currently working at the University of Northumbria as a researcher on an internally-funded project looking into transnational relationships between different national anti-apartheid organisations.
