Aly Renwick served in the British Army from 1960-68. In 1966/7, he took part in SEATO’s Operation Crown in northeast Thailand, during the period of the US Operation Rolling Thunder mass bombings of North Vietnam and the Ho Chi Minh Trail in Laos.
