Ben is the founder of Veterans for Peace UK which began in 2011. He was formerly a serviceman in both the Parachute Regiment and the Special Air Service (SAS), serving in Northern Ireland, Macedonia, Afghanistan and Iraq. Following his discharge from the army in 2005, Ben has campaigned against war and militarism. In this role he has led processions to the Cenotaph, placing wreathes with predominantly white poppies to remember all of the victims of war – whether civilians or members of the armed forces.
