Maggie Parks

Maggie Parks OBE was a lifelong friend and co-conspirator of Monica Sjöö. They met in the early 1980s through their activism in the women’s movement. Maggie’s experiences at Greenham Common Peace Camp gave her an understanding of the connections between feminist spirituality, politics, creativity and activism that changed her life trajectory. For 10 years she was co-editor of From the Flames, a magazine of radical feminist spirituality. She’s been an active campaigner and activist in the Violence Against Women & Girls sector for over 35 years and was Chief Executive of the Women’s Centre Cornwall for 25 years.
